Endometriosis affects 10-15 % of all women in reproductive age, and 70 % of women with chronic pelvic pain. There are many different theories concerning the reasons of this condition and Western Medicine doesn’t provide satisfactory treatment.
Chinese Medicine uses very precise diagnostic system, describing the state of the body underlying symptoms and medical conditions. During the lecture we will describe energetic anatomy of the female reproductive system, including Extraordinary Channels, and then discuss different Chinese syndromes resulting in endometriosis, their symptoms, pulse pictures and clinically effective acupuncture points.
Both lecturers are trained Western Medical Doctors practicing successfully Chinese Medicine and acupuncture for years, therefore the subject will be presented from both perspectives: Evidence Based clinical trials and ancient Chinese medical ideas.
About Jiri –
Born in 1974 in Prague, graduated in western medicine at the Charles
University in Prague. After years working in hospital gained a
specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics. He studied acupuncture at
the Beijing University of TCM (Beijing zhongyiyao daxue) with extended
practice in Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital in Beijing (Zhongre
youhao yiyuan). He is interested in integrating of various styles of
acupuncture with focus (not only) in Gynecology. He is teaching
acupuncture at the 1st School of TCM as well as the Faculty of
Medicine of Charles University in Prague. He was a President of a
professional association CCTCM (The Czech Chamber of TCM) and a
board member of ETCMA responsible for research . He lives and
operates a private acupuncture practice in Prague, Czech Republic.
About Bartosz –
Bartosz Chmielnicki is a medical doctor, practicing and teaching acupuncture since 2004. In 2008 he established his TCM clinic in Katowice, and soon after he opened an Academy of Acupuncture. In 2017 he established new educational project – Acuart International School of Classical Acupuncture, protecting the highest standards in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine education. He shares his knowledge with great enthusiasm teaching at many international conferences, as well as in the schools in Poland, Germany, Czech Republic and Israel.
For the last six years, he has been working on a project of presenting acupuncture points names and physiology together with Rani Ayal and Yair Maimon PhD.
